The reduction in central government funding, the changing regulatory environment, growing requirements to integrate public services and opportunities to work with private sector providers and jointly with other public sector organisations are only some of the challenges our public sector clients face. BDO is committed to providing up-to-date advice for public sector clients as they navigate uncertain times and new challenges.

BDO has a Public Sector community that was established by a number of European practices back in 2011. As an industry sector in BDO, Public Sector is defined as an umbrella over various organisations that are politically controlled and public financed, covering the following subsectors or domains:

  • Central Government
  • Local Government
  • Public Health
  • Public Utilities
  • Institutions
  • EU and EU Institutions

Specific activities will to a high degree be related to these subsectors.

The Public Sector community shares knowledge, credentials, ideas, methodologies, experts, on a pan-European (and global) basis in order to provide our clients both in our national markets as well as abroad with a holistic approach to ensure their needs are fulfilled.
